Scholarship to students who score 90% in Odia language.
BHUBANESWAR: Plus II and Plus III students, securing more than 80% in Odia subject, would get a scholarship, named after noted litterateur Fakir Mohan Senapati, said an official release.

He is considered as “Vyasakabi” or the founder poet of Odia language and is regarded as the father of “Modern Odia Literature.” He was master in the art of writing short stories and injected a new life in Odia Literature.
The name of Fakir Mohan Senapati shines in the history of Oriya literature. Fakir Mohan Senapati was born in Mallikashpur of Balasore in January 1843. His father’s name was Lakshman Charan who died of cholera at Bhubaneswar at a very early age. Fakir Mohan’s mother Tulasi Dei died a few months after Lakshmana’s death.
The scholarship has been named after poet Fakir Mohan Senapati. The students awarded with the Fakir Mohan Senapati scholarship will be entitled to get Rs 20,000 for securing 90% marks in Odia in the college examinations.
